Seven Falls

Ok this is my last post of the evening... I think everyone is all caught up with the Tucson folks after this.

Today the crew did a 2 hour hike in Sabino Canyon to a cascade of water falls with swimming holes. After a long sweaty hike jumping in for a swim felt incredibly refreshing. The area wasn't too crowded either so we had a lot of time and space to mess around. We climbed to the middle three pools ... the other falls above us were too difficult to get to.. unless we can scale the walls.

Good night, I'm pooped.

Adventures in Tucson

The weather in Tucson is getting much nicer! The temperature is no longer in triple digits! It actually feels nice at 90 degrees! It must be the dry heat. The other day Komal, PT and I went to Gates Pass, the same sunset spot that Rob and Clarissa went to. Vouching for them.. man sunsets in Tucson are gorgeous. The Apartment

Komal, Carson, and I are staying in a 3 bed, 3 bath, full kitchen, and living room apartment in North Tucson for only $500 each! It's a 20-25 min drive from the apt to Tucson VA and 18 min drive to Northeast (? - the one Carson is at) VA (most of the exits on the freeway so we have to take the inside roads...bizzar!). The rooms are comfortable with a closet, dresser, desk, and xl-full size bed. There is plenty of parking... having a car is highly recommend. The complex is rented primarly by University of Arizona students. Oh YEAH! There is a washer and drying in the APT!!! The complex offers a basketball (Carson already played and made new friends), volleyball, and tennis court as well as a pool. The apartment is also in the better part of Tucson... and conviniently located by all sorts of stores and restaurants.

Komal, Carson, and Phuong's turn in Tucson AZ

Hi 2009ers! I miss you guys!!
So as many of you know, Komal and Carson did a cross country road trip to AZ and had a great time. Though Komal was taken hostage to see a sports stadium in every single big city they passed. They'll have to tell you more about it.

A week ago, PT and I met up with Komal and Carson at the Grand Canyon and camped 3 days and 2 nights. Oh yeah! Second night Carson refused to take a shower after our 8 hour hike so he volunteered to sleep in his car, thank goodness! J/K he didn't smell. The Grand Canyon is breath taking place that is simply soooooo massive and amazing. Everyone has to see it at least once in their life. On the second day we woke at 5:30 am! You know with Komal everyone was up on time! By 7 am we were on our way to our 8 hour, 5 miles down, 5 miles up hike to Plateau Point via the Bright Angle Trail. Here are some sneek peaks of our adventure. To see more go to: http://www.new.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2362142&l=50f66&id=1218076
